Shadow of Paradise

Two boys are deliberately confused at birth. Twenty years later, one searches for his ancestry as he struggles to make amends.

Count Archibald's wealthy wife and junkie mistress each give birth to a son by chance on the same day. When the Count discovers that the son his wife has given birth to has severe facial deformities, he decides to exchange the children.

Handsome Hampus grows up as the Count's son, with a silver spoon on a fine estate. The fact that he's gay doesn't quite fit in with the conservative family; otherwise, everything is almost perfect.

Dante grows up an outsider because of his looks and his rumoured mother. Unfortunately, she is not very present, and Dante often curses his existence on the shady side of life. Then, as a teenager, something happens that makes him search for his origins and suspect that the Count might be his father. Now begins the quest for redemption. Soon a plan starts to take shape: Dante is about to enter a noble family. Whatever the cost.
